Book Group
Book Group meets monthly on second Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the Barth room. Members take turns leading conversations about monthly selections.

Brainerd Farmers Market
The Brainerd Farmers Market is a year-round market. Local Farmers present fresh naturally grown produce, farm fresh eggs, dairy and meat products. Bakers present delicious artisan breads, sweets and pastries, local makers offer home health and beauty items, and fine artist with handmade crafts round out the festive family friendly community market.

Building Team
The building team supports building operations, coordinates repairs, organizes building workdays and gets involved with special projects throughout the year. Do you have a skill to offer, or simply want to be part of a fun group of fixer-uppers?

CALEB
The purpose of CALEB is to bring together an institutional coalition of faith-based, labor, and other community organizations in order that their constituents gain a powerful voice in public affairs and issues in the wider community. Grace is an institutional member of the organization.

Centering Prayer
Grace's Centering Prayer group is an ecumenical group for those interested in cultivating a contemplative prayer discipline. We practice Thomas Keating's method for centering prayer, having a twenty minute period of silence at the beginning of our time together. We follow this with reading aloud and discussion of a chosen text. We welcome newcomers as well as old friends.

Community Breakfast
Sunday mornings during the program year (not in Summer) at 9:00 AM. Join us for food and fellowship in the Undercroft.
Breakfast Teams are made up of volunteers who prepare and serve breakfast about every six weeks.

Community Fridge
Our Community Fridge is a collaboration with Community Pantry Collective and Seed Theatre. Though we are not the only organization responsible for stocking this resource, anyone is welcome to place donations in the fridge, which is located near the accessible entrance in the Brainerd Road parking lot.

Choir
Drawing on literature from chant through the twenty-first century, the Parish Choir of Grace Church is composed of adults who rehearse weekly and sing for the 10:45 AM Sunday liturgy. In addition, they sing for special liturgies throughout the church year.
From late August through May, the Parish Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, and on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM.

Food Pantry
Grace runs a food pantry from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
Neighbors in need can stop by and stock up on canned goods, bread, pasta, sauce, soup, and snacks at no charge.
Volunteers are needed to help with this ministry.

Formation for Adults
We offer a number of adult formation classes meeting at 9:30 AM (9:00 AM during summer months). The Lectionary Class meets in the Barth room, other classes meet in the Merritt Room or the Library. Reach out to Rev. April if you want to learn more or get connected.

Formation for Children
We offer programming and activities for children from birth to 8th grade. Contact Betsy Bedwell, Director of Children’s Ministries for more information.

Formation for Youth
At Grace we strive to create an atmosphere of support and empowerment for young people to be themselves, grow together in Christ, and explore what it means to be a disciple in the 21st century.
The Grace youth group meets every week at 9:00 AM. We also have monthly service events with the youth group at St. Peter’s, and we hang out with all the Episcopal youth groups in Chattanooga whenever ChattEY gathers.

Green Grace
GreenGrace is a faith- based coalition of volunteers who love, protect, and defend the Earth, as God’s Holy Creation. It is designed to present a menu of large and small actions from which congregations may pick and choose in accordance with their strengths and interests and is open and available to any and all faith traditions.

Healing Prayer
Members of the Order of St. Luke offer prayers in the chapel each Sunday during Holy Communion.

Life Planning
The life planning team provides information, education and support around end-of-life decisions and other important life transitions.

Liturgical Ministries
Many people are involved in our worship together as a community. Servers volunteer to carry out special roles in the liturgy like:
Acolytes - Carrying sacred objects and assisting in worship
Lectors - Reading scripture and leading the Prayers of the People
Eucharistic Ministers - Assisting the clergy during the distribution of Holy Communion
Oblation Bearers - Bring forward the gifts of bread and wine during services of Holy Eucharist
Ushers - Handing out bulletins, facilitating the collection of offerings, taking a count of attendance, and more

Mahjong Group
Sundays at 3:00 PM in the Undercroft.
Anyone interested in playing (or learning to play!) the game can simply show up - no need to bring anything except a desire to have fun and enjoy social and mental wellbeing. Medical studies have concluded that Mahjong relieves depression and improves memory, attentiveness and executive function.

Newcomer Team
The newcomer team provides welcome and information to newcomers at Grace who have expressed an interest in joining the parish. The team will meet approximately every 4-6 weeks, and each member will be responsible for 1-2 one-to-one meetings with newcomers in the intervening weeks.

Online Morning Prayer & Compline
This group gathers online in the mornings and evenings for services of Morning Prayer and Compline from the Book of Common Prayer. In addition to offering prayers together, each service is followed by a time of online fellowship for those who wish to linger.

ShowerUp Truck
Every Wednesday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM a team of Grace parishioners operate the ShowerUp truck in the church’s lower parking lot - offering a warm shower and personal hygiene items for our neighbors.

12-Step Groups
We have been blessed with a large campus that we offer to host 12-step groups throughout the week. We see freedom and healing from addiction as an integral part of our mission and ministry and one way in which the Holy Spirit moves through our community.

Supper Clubs
Grace Supper Clubs form each new program year and meet monthly for shared meals and fellowship. Each club (consisting of 8-10 members) forms its own practices and expectations, but most Clubs meet once a month and meals are done on a potluck basis. To enroll into a Club, please contact the Church Office.

Quilters
The Grace Quilters meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM on the 4th floor. They’re busy working on some exciting projects, and you’re welcome to join in on the action.

Yoga
The Grace Yoga group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM on the 4th floor of the church. No background or experience with yoga is required to join!
