Sunday Morning Adult Classes

For our current offerings, please see the 2017 Fall Program Guide.

Weeks Adult Forum (Lectionary Bible Study)
9:30 am in the Barth Room

The lectionary class is a popular offering among many parishioners. This class meets at 9:30, after breakfast, in the Barth room, and focuses on the lectionary readings of that particular Sunday. It provides opportunities to learn more about the historical setting of the Scriptures and to engage in conversation about their significance to our lives today.

Young Adult Class
9:30 am in the Balch Reading Room

The class is catered to adults between the ages of 20 and 40, but all are welcome, and the curriculum will be determined by the participants. The class is planning to explore Lectio Divina dyring Lent.

Lectio Divina is a way of being immersed in the Scriptures.  The Christian form of Lectio Divina was first introduced by St. Gregory of Nyssa (c. 330-395) and also encouraged by St. Benedict of Nursia (c. 480-547), the founder of the Benedictine order.
