Music Program
The Parish Choir
Drawing on literature from chant through the twenty-first century, the Parish Choir of Grace Church is composed of adults who rehearse weekly and sing for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday liturgy. In addition, they sing for special liturgies throughout the church year, such as Advent Lessons and Carols, Evensong, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week. From late August through May, the Parish Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., and on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. For more information or to join the choir contact David Long, Director of Music.
The Bells of Grace
The Bells of Grace rehearse weekly from September through May, from 5:30 to 6:30. They play regularly for the prelude, during communion and to accompany the choir and hymns at the 10:45 service. They also play for other services such as Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday. The choir uses 3 ½ octaves of Schulmerich bells and 4 octave of Malmark chimes and shows its versatility by joining with other instruments such as violin, cello, flute, oboe, harp, a brass ensemble and percussion. For more information contact Jerry Draper, Director, Bells of Grace.
