Ways to Serve
Lent offers a great opportunity to serve the community within the church and outside of it. You can find just a few of the many opportunities below!
March 17 Southside Abbey
Potluck and Worship On March 17 Grace Church has been invited to host the meal and worship for Southside Abbey! Southside Abbey is an Episcopal worshipping community by and for folks on the margins. It meets on Friday Evenings at 6:11 PM at the Hart Gallery (110 E. Main Street). Coincidentally, March 17 is St. Patrick's Day - So put on your green and join us for an evening of worship, fellowship, and food with our neighbors on the Southside! Holy Week - Family Promise
Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga is a network of churches that hosts families with children who would otherwise be on the streets. Pairs of churches host families for one week at a time, and parishioners take turns providing meals and transportation, as well as staying overnight in the host churches. Grace's next turn is over Holy Week (April 9 -15) and we need volunteers! Contact Skeeter Makepeace to signup! skeeterellen55@gmail.com |
Volunteer for a Ministry!
Lent is the perfect time to sign up for a new ministry around the parish - perhaps consider joining the choir, helping with breakfast, or teaching Sunday School.
