Thorne Sparkman on Wednesday Nights
Every year, the Episcopal Churches of Chattanooga come together to host the Thorne Sparkman School of Religion Thorne Sparkman offers a dynamic opportunity each Lent for Christians to gather in community each Wednesday evening with others from across our city for a rich time of learning, fellowship, worship, and faith exploration, with first-class scholars and teachers. The school is held Wednesday nights at St. Paul's during Lent. This year's offerings will focus around themes such as difference, reconciliation, and spiritual growth through the lenses of scripture, contemplative thought in light of current events. This year we will also provide a children's and youth track for the first time - making this a wonderful offering for the whole family! Stories from Standing Rock
Join Grace newcomers Allison Kendrick and Meredith Garrett Sunday, March 5 at 9:30am in the Undercroft to hear about their experience joining the Standing Rock Water Protectors in North Dakota this past November and learn about how this kind of work might intersect with Christian spirituality and the life of faith. Meredith and Allison are both committed Episcopalians who together bring great gifts of writing and photography. An Advent reflection on their experience at Standing Rock was recently featured by the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama.
