Wednesday Brown Bag Book Study: A Season for the Spirit by Martin L. Smith.
Each Wednesday at noon during Lent (immediately following the 11:30 healing service), Vivian Dodds will lead a study of A Season for the Spirit by Martin Smith, a book of forty daily meditations. Participants should bring a brown-bag lunch. The most inexpensive way to get a book is via Barnes and Noble online, where the price is under $9. Grace’s bookstore can order one for you, but the cost will be closer to $20 (alas for independent book sellers!).

An Invitation to Lenten Discovery
The early followers of Jesus fashioned the season of Lent as an intentional time of spiritual practice and devotion to prepare for the Resurrection of Jesus at Easter, as well as for the baptism of new believers. Thus, Lent is a 40-day period of learning, study, self-examination, and renewal - a time to journey with Jesus in the wildernesses of our lives in order that we might cultivate a lively faith for the good of all creation.
