Lay Leadership in Worship
Many members of Grace serve in our worship services worship, as acolytes, lectors, ushers, and Eucharistic Ministers.
Acolytes
This ministry is open to all, youth and adults alike. Youth should be old enough to participate fully in the service and to handle the processional cross and torches. For more information, please contact one of the Acolyte Masters: Dick McGee and Sean McEwen
Lectors and Intercessors
Lectors read the appointed readings from the Lectionary while Intercessors lead the Prayers of the People during the service. Volunteer readers from the community serve in either one or both positions. To be included on the schedule, please contact Jeff Bertrand (jeff@jeffbertrand.net).
Ushers
Ushers assist in the logistics before, during and after the service. For more information, please contact Bill Pickering.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild at Grace prepares the church for all the liturgies of the Church year. Four groups rotate weekly, with all groups scheduled for Holy Week/Easter and the Christmas season. Membership is open to all, women, men and youth. This vital ministry can enrich you and help you learn about the Church. For more information please contact Breezie Finley.
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers help in the distribution of Communion during the Eucharist. This is a licensed ministry of the church and the Diocese helps in the training of people called to serve the worshiping community in this way. Please contact the Grace clergy to learn more.
