Dabney's Purse

A note from the Rector:
It is with at grateful heart, and more than a little sadness, that I write to let you know that Dabney Carden, who has served as Grace's Receptionist and Internal Communications coordinator since 2008, will be retiring. Dabney's last day in this position will be December 16th, though she will remain a member of Grace Episcopal, and we hope to see her among us on Sunday mornings. I and the rest of the Grace staff will miss her good humor, her deep love for the people of this community, her wisdom, and her infectious laugh. Selfishly, I will also miss the baked goods that she often provides for staff meetings.
It is the custom at Grace to collect a purse or "love offering" for departing staff members, and I invite you to make a contribution below so that we may help Dabney begin her retirement with the gifts of our gratitude. You may also mail a gift to the Grace office at
Grace Episcopal Church

Being an introvert, Dabney has expressed that she does not wish for a public send-off, but I will make some cards available on Sunday mornings so that anyone who wishes to can write a note. We will collect those cards and give them to her at our staff lunch during the week of her departure. Thank you in advance for your help in sending Dabney into this next season in a quiet way that honors her way of being in the world and her good and faithful work among us.
Brightest blessings,
April
