Where/What |
We will be partnering with several agencies to assist in relief and assistance efforts. Organizations include: Sevier County Food Ministries, Sevier County Humane Society, Keep Sevier Beautiful, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Smokies. Youth 16 years or older will be allowed to help on-site to rebuild homes destroyed by the fires. On the last day we will have a fun day at Dollywood. We will be staying in a nearby cabin.
|
Why |
The purpose of church mission trips and service projects is multifaceted: It is a chance to help people in need in meaningful ways, while exposing youth to people, cultures, attitudes, and beliefs different than what they might at home. Most of all, it is a chance to build strong community and lasting friendships within the youth group and to explore what it means to be part of a Christian community.
|
Cost |
As is the custom at Grace, transportation, lodging, and mission supplies will be fully subsidized through the youth budget and fundraising efforts - We want our youth to have this experience!
|
Suggested Donation
We are asking a suggested donation of $75 in order to help cover Dollywood tickets and defray other expenses. If this presents a hardship, please rest assured that your child will be covered through previous fundraising efforts.
