Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation Info
The Bishop of the Diocese will be at Grace to Confirm and Receive members into the Episcopal Church on April 23. He will also be laying hands on those who wish to reaffirm their faith publicly. We will use this information for Certificates as well as a means of introducing new members to the congregation through a special announcement.

Confirmation

Reaffirmation
Not sure
Each category is similar in that it involves laying on of hands and prayer by the bishop. The difference is the past experience one brings to the rite. Confirmation is for anyone who has never before made what they would consider a mature and public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Reception is for anyone who has already made what they consider to be a mature and public profession of faith in Jesus Christ in another denomination or tradition. Reaffirmation is for those who have already been received or confirmed in the Episcopal Church and wish to publicly reaffirm their faith in Jesus Christ.
